This individual will help drive payroll accuracy, compliance, process efficiency, and partnership across the business while managing payroll for a growing employee population.

Description

The Vice President of Payroll will play a critical role in managing end-to-end payroll operations for over 1000 employees across states. Working closely with a lean and experienced payroll team, this leader will help oversee payroll processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and execute multi-state payroll operations with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with payroll team members to divide and manage payroll responsibilities efficiently.
  • Utilize Workday Payroll to support payroll administration, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Review payroll controls, reconciliations, and auditing processes.
  • Support process optimization and operational improvements within payroll functions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders on payroll-related matters.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities and regulatory reporting requirements.

Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 2+ years of recent Workday Payroll experience.
  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience.
  • Experience supporting complex payroll environments with large employee populations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree required.
  • CPP or FPC certification preferred.
  • Ability to commute to New York City four days per week (Monday through Thursday)

  • Base Salary: $150,000 to $175,000
