Description

Careerscape is recruiting a VP of Marketing focused on B2B SaaS for workflow and operations software. This executive-level role is based in New York City with a hybrid work arrangement and owns the connection between market positioning, qualified pipeline, and customer expansion.

The mandate is to turn product capabilities into a clear story for business buyers and a measurable marketing plan. You will set priorities across product marketing, demand generation, content, lifecycle programs, and partner marketing; work with Sales and Revenue Operations on funnel performance; and develop the people and operating practices needed to deliver the plan. Regular attendance in New York City is required as part of the hybrid arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Define target customer segments and buyer priorities using customer interviews, sales feedback, win/loss findings, and competitive research.
  • Own positioning and messaging for workflow and operations software, translating product features into business outcomes and clear reasons to choose the platform.
  • Build an annual marketing plan and quarterly campaign calendar with measurable targets for qualified opportunities, pipeline contribution, conversion, and customer expansion.
  • Direct integrated demand-generation programs across paid channels, content, webinars, events, and partners; evaluate channels using opportunity quality and acquisition economics.
  • Partner with Product on launch plans and with Sales on enablement materials, including customer use cases, competitive comparisons, demo narratives, and objection handling.
  • Work with Sales and Revenue Operations to define lead stages, handoff rules, attribution assumptions, and reporting in systems such as Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Develop lifecycle programs with Customer Success to support product adoption, retention, and expansion, and connect customer evidence to marketing priorities.
  • Lead and coach the marketing function, manage agency performance and budget allocation, and present an executive review of results, tradeoffs, and next-quarter decisions.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including leadership of a SaaS or enterprise software marketing function.
  • Demonstrated ownership of positioning, product launches, and demand generation with measurable impact on qualified pipeline or revenue.
  • Experience leading and developing marketers across multiple disciplines and managing external agencies or specialist partners.
  • Ability to evaluate funnel conversion, customer acquisition cost, payback, retention, and expansion while recognizing the limitations of attribution data.
  • Practical familiarity with CRM and marketing automation systems such as Salesforce and HubSpot, including lead management and executive reporting.
  • Strong ability to turn customer research and technical product information into clear messaging for business decision makers.
  • Ability to work a hybrid arrangement with regular attendance in New York City.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work arrangement combining New York City collaboration with remote work.
  • Executive ownership of marketing strategy, prioritization, and measurement.
  • Opportunity to shape product positioning and develop a marketing function across brand, demand generation, and customer lifecycle work.
