Job Profile Summary

VP of Industry Success (HCLS) is a strategic leader and expert who owns large consulting portfolios focused on Healthcare and Life Science. Engaging with sponsors and steering committees, this role shapes transformation strategy, delivers client value, and builds senior relationships. VP of Industry Success defines consulting vision, mentors senior consultants, drives vertical growth, and evolves SoftServe’s Healthcare and Life Science industry capability through thought leadership and market-aligned offerings.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior advisor and primary face-off to assignment sponsors, executive sponsors, and steering committees across major industry programs
  • Build trust, maintain, and expand relationships with C-level leaders and key decision-makers, ensuring, alignment, and long-term cooperation
  • Lead and develop consulting engagements within the industry, ensuring alignment to business strategy, industry standards, and client transformation goals
  • Own and develop consulting portfolio within the vertical, taking responsibility for engagement performance, quality, and value realization
  • Provide leadership across the full consulting lifecycle, from shaping the vision and engagement strategy to guiding execution and value delivery
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the practice which aligns with SoftServe’s strategic goals
  • Drive the development and evolution of Industry Solutions consulting practice, through mentorship, guidance and defining consulting standards
  • Identify emerging trends, risks, and market shifts relevant to the industry, and advise on their implications for clients and SoftServe’s service offerings
  • Actively support sales and farming efforts by identifying new opportunities, shaping proposal narratives, and articulating industry-specific value propositions
  • Serve as a recognized SoftServes ambassador, actively shaping the companys presence and influence among sector leaders through strategic engagement, public speaking, and contribution to thought leadership platforms
  • Represent SoftServe at industry events, conferences, and media outlets
  • Be responsible for establishing secure customer data management processes within consulting activities which includes but is not limited to data obtaining, exchange, storing, retention and deletion.
  • Follow company data governance policies, practices, and procedures to ensure that sensitive data including customer data are treated according to confidentiality level
  • Follow off-boarding procedures, fulfilling data retention and deletion rules set up on the project

Preferred Competencies & Experience

  • 10–20 years of experience in the real–economy sector industry, with a strong mix of consulting, transformation leadership, and client-facing advisory work
  • Experience in developing consulting teams, managing portfolios, and contributing to practice growth
  • Fluent in translating industry challenges into structured recommendations and guiding solution development with delivery leaders
  • Builds strong team: Hires diverse top talent aligned with values, accelerates onboarding, and fosters cohesive, inclusive teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage Industry Success Practice and act as a supervisor to Industry Success Directors and Associate Directors
  • Make hiring decisions
  • Act as performance evaluators for Industry Success Directors
  • Interview Industry Success candidates

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Masters degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 50% to the client and team location

This posting includes an anticipated salary range that SoftServe expects to offer for this position. The range provided reflects the base salary only. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, budget, and market conditions.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $200,000.00 – $250,000.00 annually, in line with our internal compensation framework and budget allocation for the role. Most candidates are offered a salary within this disclosed range. If the role is eligible for a variable pay plan, this would be considered separately and may provide additional earnings beyond the base salary range reflected here.
