About the VP of Finance Opportunity
A growing, project-driven organization is seeking a hands-on finance leader to strengthen its financial operations and support its next stage of growth. This is an opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, improve how financial information is captured and reported, and build systems and processes that can scale with the business.
The ideal candidate brings strong finance and systems experience, a track record of improving processes through automation, and the ability to make project performance clear through accurate, timely WIP reporting. Construction experience is a plus.

VP of Finance Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and support business decisions
- Improve financial systems, workflows, and reporting through automation and process redesign
- Develop reliable WIP reporting and job-costing processes that give leadership clear visibility into project financials
- Strengthen forecasting and analysis of project costs, margins, cash flow, and financial risk
- Establish scalable controls and processes while keeping financial operations efficient
- Lead and develop the finance team, setting clear priorities and supporting continued growth
- Coordinate with external accounting, tax, audit, banking, and other financial partners as needed
VP of Finance Qualifications
- Significant experience in finance and accounting leadership
- Strong systems aptitude and experience improving financial processes through automation
- Experience with project accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting
- Ability to communicate financial results clearly to executive and operational leaders
- A hands-on leadership style, with the judgment to set direction and the willingness to work through details
- Construction or related project-based industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA or MBA a plus
