Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, expense allocations, reconciliations, and bookkeeping.
Oversee the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
Prepare and support regulatory financial reporting, including FOCUS filings and net capital calculations.
Monitor the firm's financial position and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable broker-dealer net capital requirements.
Prepare weekly and monthly management reports covering revenue, expenses, financial performance, projections, and key trends.
Develop financial forecasts, pro forma statements, and rolling revenue projections to support business planning.
Manage treasury activities, including cash management, wire requests, banking administration, and related reconciliations.
Support payroll processing and administration, including employee setup, time and attendance, payroll audits, tax reporting, and reconciliations.
Oversee travel and entertainment expense reporting and accounting.
Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls.
Coordinate financial audits and provide supporting documentation for tax filings and annual audit requirements.
Partner with senior management to identify and resolve accounting or broker-dealer financial issues and recommend process improvements.
Assist with managing banking relationships and other finance-related initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
