Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 9 engineers across design and test disciplines.
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Improve design quality, product reliability, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Enhance test processes through automation and throughput improvements.
- Oversee the full engineering lifecycle from design through production.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives to support scalable production.
- Serve as the technical lead for customer discussions and proposal efforts.
- Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain to support production readiness and growth.
- Ensure strong systems engineering, configuration management, and failure analysis practices.
- Align engineering performance with key business objectives, including productivity and profitability.

The Successful Applicant
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of progressive engineering experience with significant leadership responsibility.
- Strong background in electromechanical systems, including motors, actuators, transducers, or similar technologies.
- Ability to operate effectively at both component-level technical detail and organizational leadership levels.
- Demonstrated success improving engineering productivity, manufacturing yield, and test performance.
- Experience leading engineering teams in both product development and production environments.
- Proven ability to build, coach, and elevate teams within a metrics-driven culture.
- Strong customer engagement and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience within aerospace, defence, or other high-reliability industries is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of qualification, validation, and regulated product environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with export-controlled programmes and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Must be authorized to access export-controlled technology in accordance with applicable regulations.
