Compensation: 160,000 - 195,000

We are partnered with a leading bank that is looking to bring on a VP Non-Financial Risk Professional to its Non-Financial Risk team in New York. The ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience in Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, Controls, or a related risk function within financial services and current or prior experience working with business stakeholders in a 1st line risk function.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders across Institutional Banking in a 1st Line Risk function to identify, assess, and mitigate non-financial risks.
• Support initiatives to strengthen non-financial risk frameworks, governance practices, and control programs across the organization.
• Execute risk management activities including risk assessments, issue remediation, control monitoring, and risk reporting.
• Monitor key risk issues, regulatory developments, and emerging trends to support effective risk management and decision-making.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Non-Financial Risk, Operational Risk, Controls, Governance or related risk management within the financial services industry.
• Current or prior experience in 1st line non-financial risk function.
• Strong understanding of non-financial risk frameworks and controls environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
