Job Summary
The Vice President of Information Technology (IT) Architecture report to the Senior Vice President of IT Operations and is primarily responsible for designing and implementing forward thinking solutions around enterprise and property architecture. Applying a depth and breadth of understanding of IT infrastructure, this role drives innovation and efficiency across the organization. This role frequently interacts with business and technology leaders to develop strategies to meet the growing technological demand and reliance of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with members of the Information Technology leadership team and business stakeholders to develop an enterprise and property architecture vision and strategy aligned with company objectives.
Oversees the design and facilitates the implementation of property technology solutions to enhance resident experience and operational efficiency.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and property management, to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
Acts as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring that business objectives are incorporated into the strategic direction of IT initiatives.
Defines and facilitates the implementation of a standardized property technology stack to ensure flexibility and scalability of property networks.
Establishes and enforces technology standards across the portfolio to enable team members to move between properties with minimal technical disruption.
Leads, manages, and develops a team of IT and property technology professionals by fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the employee lifecycle. Selects, trains, coaches, and counsels staff to meet performance goals.
Stays abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in IT and property technology.
Manage the budget and resources for IT and property technology initiatives, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
Travels as needed for meetings, events and/or professional development.
Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in defining, developing, scaling, and implementing technology architecture strategies
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required
Experience providing strategic technology direction and architecture vision, encompassing an enterprise view across a large portfolio of capabilities, required
Preferred Qualifications
Principal-level enterprise architecture experience for a public company preferred
Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects using Agile development practices preferred
Experience with continuous delivery tools and DevOps practices preferred
Performance engineering experience with scaling solutions preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Broad and in-depth technical knowledge of network architecture and infrastructure principles, best practices, and solutions
Skill and ability to facilitate technological transformation with teams in a rapidly growing environment
Skill and ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing, including delivering presentations and conveying technical concepts to non-IT audiences
Knowledge and skill to document technical business requirements, diagrams, and plans
Skill and ability to apply a consultative, collaborative, "hands on" approach to developing and implementing solutions that span multiple business functions.
Knowledge of Agile development practices
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and attention to detail
Knowledge and skills to manage projects, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
