The VP, Global Logistics & Supply Chain serves as the strategic architect of Build-A-Bear’s next-generation supply chain—transforming the global movement of goods into a faster, smarter, AI-enabled, data-driven engine that powers our Workshops, e-Commerce business, and Global Wholesale channels. This leader will shape the future of how Build-A-Bear delivers joy around the world, bringing innovation, precision, and agility to every step of the supply chain journey.
As Build-A-Bear continues to grow as a multi-channel global company, the VP, Global Logistics & Supply Chain will bring bold vision, operational excellence, and forward-thinking leadership to build a scalable, resilient, and highly responsive supply chain that supports growth, elevates the Guest experience, and creates meaningful enterprise impact.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a complex, high-velocity, global ecosystem that includes:
- Leading our flagship fulfillment hub in Columbus, Ohio
- Driving efficiency through our China Warehouse operations
- Managing a network of Global 3P Partners to ensure seamless delivery across international borders
- Synchronizing supply chain efforts for our Domestic and International Partner-Operated locations and our emerging Wholesale division
- Design and implement a 5-year roadmap for a scalable supply chain that anticipates the demands of a growing footprint
- Lead the charge in adopting AI-driven forecasting, inventory placement, and automated logistics systems
- Modernize processes within our Columbus facility and Global 3PL network to improve speed-to-market, reduce costs, and enhance the Guest experience
- Act as a bold partner – value the deep institutional knowledge of current teams while introducing next generation thinking and high-performance standards
- Use advanced analytics to influence executive decision-making, providing clarity and confidence in our global growth strategy
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of senior-level experience in Logistics & Supply Chain, specifically within the Toy, Apparel, or high-volume Consumer goods sectors
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex international logistics, including deep experience with Asian manufacturing hubs and European distribution
- Strong background in Supply Chain IT (WMS, TMS, ERP) with a specific passion for how AI can revolutionize logistics
- Demonstrated ability to pivot between supporting 600+ physical store locations and building the infrastructure for a massive Wholesale and e-Comm surge
- Track record of inspiring teams through change, fostering a culture of partnership, and leading with radical transparency and data.
