ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a Director-level Credit Officer opportunity within the Specialized Finance Credit Risk function of a well-established global financial institution, offering full decisioning authority over a multi-billion dollar Subscription Finance Fund (SFF) portfolio. The role carries genuine credit approval responsibility assessing and approving fund finance transactions, leading due diligence, and shaping the financial sponsor credit strategy for the Americas region. It's an ideal fit for a seasoned fund finance credit professional with 10+ years of experience who combines deep expertise in subscription finance structures, borrowing base analysis, and investor composition assessment with the executive presence to engage senior management, risk committees, and external stakeholders at the highest level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for subscription finance fund transactions including detailed analysis of terms and conditions, structures, borrowing bases, investor compositions, creditworthiness, and credit ratings
  • Exercise credit approval authority over the multi-billion dollar SFF portfolio;provide independent credit decisions and recommendations aligned with risk appetite and financial sponsor strategy
  • Lead due diligence efforts to evaluate risks and mitigate potential issues;coordinate with legal teams, offshore exposure counterparties, and other key stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to protect the institution's interests across the fund finance portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including deal sponsors, lenders, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and successful transaction outcomes
  • Prepare detailed risk reports, presentations, and credit views for senior management and Risk Management Committee
  • Stay current on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to inform risk assessment and decision-making processes
  • Identify, implement, and support streamlining and simplification initiatives across the credit risk function both locally and globally
