Title: VP Commercial Real Estate Credit Analyst & Approval Officer

Base Salary: $140k - $175k + Bonus

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Vice President-level opportunity sits within the Credit Approval function of a well-established global financial institution, offering independent credit analysis and approval authority across Commercial Real Estate transactions. The role combines rigorous underwriting with active deal structuring involvement from initial due diligence and credit assessment through legal document review, conditions precedent vetting, and post-disbursement monitoring. It's an ideal fit for a credit-trained CRE professional who combines expert knowledge of credit principles and CRE underwriting with strong analytical judgment and the ability to present and defend credit recommendations before senior approval committees.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare high-quality credit reports with particular attention to information integrity, analytical quality, and credit metrics across Commercial Real Estate transactions
  • Conduct joint due diligence vetting, structuring, and analysis on potential transactions in collaboration with Relationship Managers and internal partners
  • Prepare comprehensive credit assessments including adjudication opinions, financial projections, and stress testing
  • Present and defend credit cases before the Credit Approval Committee and Credit Management Committee as applicable;prepare approval forms including all conditions precedent to credit approval
  • Vet that all applicable conditions precedent are satisfactorily met prior to closing and funding
  • Review GCMS entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Review legal documents with a focus on credit terms including covenants, collateral, amortization, interest rates, and other special provisions
  • Prepare interim and scheduled annual post-disbursement reviews jointly with Relationship Managers on a timely basis
  • Attend to all audit, loan review, and regulatory requirements on a post-disbursement basis
