Title: VP/AVP, Financial Institutions Business Development & RMB Strategy

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a strategic business development role within the Financial Institutions group of an established banking organization, focused on growing non-Chinese FI relationships across domestic and international markets while also playing a key role in the bank-wide coordination of RMB Clearing Bank initiatives. The position blends client coverage and account management with high-level strategic project execution making it an ideal fit for a relationship-driven banking professional with a strong understanding of correspondent banking, US-China financial markets, and BSA/KYC compliance requirements.
Mandarin and English bilingual proficiency is preferred, given the cross-border nature of the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct sales calls and meetings with domestic and international financial institutions (excluding China) to grow the bank's non-Chinese FI business
- Carry out market research to identify new customers and business opportunities;actively participate in business development and community activities that enhance the bank's market visibility
- Maintain regular client contact, coordinate annual relationship reviews, and identify opportunities to deliver added value to existing correspondent banking relationships
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and coordinate across internal departments as needed;manage accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping for all assigned customers
- Monitor customer account balances on an ongoing basis and follow up on inbound business inquiries from financial institutions
- Develop and lead bank-wide coordination strategies for the establishment and growth of the RMB Clearing Bank initiative, including marketing strategies targeting potential clients
- Conduct annual and periodic refresh reviews on existing accounts to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance;perform monthly screening on clients and related parties
- Report unusual client activity to supervisors and assist the BSA Officer with compliance department tasks and inquiries
- Prepare marketing materials in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and assess macroeconomic factors and market trends across US and Chinese financial markets to inform business strategy and client positioning
