    Description

Dublin Music Academy is part of central Ohio's largest music school, with studios in Lewis Center, Powell, Dublin and Hilliard. Our mission is to help children and adults build creativity, confidence and perseverance through exceptional music instruction. We envision a community in which every child has access to music education and the lifelong benefits that come with it. If you are passionate about music and enjoy working with young people, we would like to hear from you!

We currently have an immediate need for voice instructors at our Dublin studio. We also welcome resumes from instructors of all instruments, even when there is no current opening in a particular area of expertise. Preference is given to instructors who teach multiple instruments.

    About the Role

Voice instructors provide private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels, using the teaching materials and methods they judge best for each individual student. The Academy has no mandated curriculum or set of method books, and it does not sell merchandise or books through its instructors. Instructors are trusted as experts in their fields.

    What the Academy Provides

    • A steady flow of new students: The Academy invests well over $60,000 each year in newspaper, online, direct mail and community advertising, and it registers new students year-round, including during traditionally slower months. Instructor schedules typically remain 80-95% full each day.
    • Administrative support: Full-time front desk staff at every location handle scheduling, billing, fee collection, rescheduling and recital logistics, including arranging accompanists, so instructors can focus on teaching.
    • Recitals: Two student recitals are offered each year. The Academy plans them and covers all costs, from printed programs to the venue sound system.
    • Professional teaching spaces: Each location is clean, newer and well maintained, with spacious studios and professional equipment.
    • Online scheduling: Instructors can view their schedules, absences and make-ups at any time, and they receive an email notification, with an automatic schedule update, whenever a student enrolls, drops or changes a lesson time.
    • Level Up program: A customizable progress program that motivates students to practice, helps keep lessons organized and gives parents a clear view of their child's development.

    About the Academy

The Academy is a privately held, locally owned company operated by music professionals. We opened our first location in Powell in 2008, followed by Lewis Center in 2017, Hilliard in 2020, and Dublin in 2022. Today we serve over 1,100 weekly private lesson students with more than 70 instructors. Our systems are designed to minimize administrative tasks for faculty so they can spend their time doing what they love.

Our guiding belief is that music education changes lives. We aim to foster confidence, creativity and perseverance in students of all ages, and we value and respect each member of our teaching team.

Our Director, Chad Ebert, comes from four generations of professional musicians and began his musical education at age three. A jazz pianist trained in jazz studies and classical technique, he is the author of The Music Parent's Handbook and a member of the National Piano Guild and the Music Teachers National Association.
