ACT Therapist / Vocational Specialist

Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges, achieve recovery, and build meaningful, independent lives? Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated ACT Therapist/Vocational Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team.

This unique community-based role combines therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and vocational support services to help adults living with serious and persistent mental illness succeed in their homes, workplaces, and communities. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and behavioral health professionals to provide comprehensive, person-centered care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide individual and group therapy
• Deliver case management and rehabilitation services
• Assist clients with employment and vocational goals
• Support daily living skills and community integration
• Coordinate care with families, providers, and community resources
• Respond to crises and provide recovery-focused support
• Participate in treatment planning and team collaboration.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs preferred
• Interest in supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the community.
