Job Summary:

This position is afor a Vocal Music Teacher at Abraham Clark High School for the 2026/2027 SY

Qualifications:

• New Jersey Instructional Certificate in Music
• Two or more years of experience preferred
• Plan and deliver engaging vocal music instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum

Teach vocal technique, sight-reading, ear training, music theory/music technology, and choral repertoire

Direct and rehearse school choirs and vocal ensembles for concerts, assemblies, and community events

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including beginners through advanced singers

Integrate technology and cross-curricular connections into lessons where appropriate

Prepare students for solo and ensemble festivals, competitions, and honor choir opportunities

Maintain an organized, safe, and student-centered classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and the arts department on interdisciplinary initiatives

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and performances

Maintain inventory of music materials, music tech., and performance attire

Promote music appreciation and participation across the school community

Uphold district policies and professional ethics in all interactions

Step 1 BA: $63,000.00 to Step 21: MA+30 $106,295.00
