VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x Advisory Consultant

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x Advisory Consultant with strong technical expertise in VMware infrastructure, VCF architecture, lifecycle management, and enterprise infrastructure services.
The consultant will provide technical advisory and architecture expertise to support enterprise VCF environments, assess existing infrastructure, identify technical dependencies and risks, and provide recommendations for deployment readiness, configuration, integration, and ongoing operations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on VMware experience and the ability to evaluate complex infrastructure environments and provide practical technical guidance.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of VCF 9.x architecture, components, deployment models, lifecycle management, infrastructure services, and workload domains.
- Experience planning and supporting end-to-end VCF deployment, configuration, integration, validation, and operational handoff.
- Ability to design production VCF environments considering availability, resiliency, capacity, security, networking, storage, and operational requirements.
- Deep experience with vSphere architecture, including clusters, HA, DRS, resource management, networking, storage, VM placement, and lifecycle considerations.
- Strong knowledge of NSX architecture and VCF networking, including transport/network design, segments, gateways, routing, Edge architecture, and VCF deployment dependencies.
- Understanding of VCF component lifecycle, compatibility and dependency considerations, upgrade sequencing, prechecks, remediation planning, and lifecycle operational considerations.
- Ability to assess existing VMware Aria Automation environments and develop upgrade/migration approaches, identifying dependencies, prerequisites, compatibility considerations, risks, and validation requirements.
- Ability to validate VLANs, subnets, gateways, MTU, routing, DNS, NTP, IP addressing, load-balancing/network service requirements, and other deployment dependencies.
- Ability to evaluate compute, networking, storage, firmware/hardware compatibility, certificates, and environmental prerequisites before deployment.
- Ability to identify technical dependencies, assumptions, constraints, risks, prerequisites, and customer actions before implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across vSphere, VCF, NSX, storage, networking, automation, and interconnected infrastructure services.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior VMware infrastructure consultant or VCF architect.
- Strong enterprise-level VMware technical background.
- Proven experience with VCF 9.x architecture and infrastructure environments.
- Ability to provide independent technical recommendations and advisory support.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
