Job Title: VMware Administrator
Location: Astor Place New York, 10003 (Onsite /Remote)


Job Description:
Proficiency with multi-vendor hardware/software management, security, network/Internet protocols. May require any
of the following: problem identification/resolution, performance management/tuning, and design
configuration/planning. Knowledge of related large-scale computing systems and/or product installs and
maintenance. Ability to provide technical leadership and management of complex, large-scale computing systems
projects. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Excellent organizational and
written and verbal communication skills.

Required Skills:

• Implementing projects requiring VMware experience, including vSphere and administration of VMware
• clusters
• Experience with enterprise-level virtualization, designing, implementing and maintaining VMware ESXi
• servers and clusters
• Strong knowledge of storage solutions and how to integrate them on the cluster
• Knowledge of networking integration into VMware ESXi and hands-on troubleshooting common problems
• Experience with capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of VMware clusters with VMware
• infrastructure/vSphere
• VMware ESXi infrastructure build, administration, and support experience
• Experience in installing, upgrading VMware systems and servers, and maintaining the security and stability
• of the VMware environment
• Patch management: operating system, security patches, and/or handling configurational issues
• Good hands-on technical and troubleshooting experience including provisioning, configuration, modification,
• and decommissioning
• Experience in handling virtual machine server and appliance instances, snapshots, and restoration
