Essential Functions
Know how to identify all components in the VLT machines
Know how to operate power tools and other shop equipment safely and correctly
Ensure that you and your staff understand the policies and procedures, internal controls, and Gaming Regulations and are in complete compliance at all times
Provide 100% accuracy and accountability on all documentation that is required by the VLT Performance department and Gaming
Uphold the integrity of vital information in and around the VLT Performance department
Be an upbeat and positive role model and LEAD BY EXAMPLE.
Display and encourage a teamwork atmosphere at all times
Offer assistance with any issues that an employee or guest may have
Issue coaching or corrective action documentation to team members
Clearly define desired results and time expectations of all tasks given to the technicians
Ensure that all technicians are capable of performing any and all tasks
Ensure that all of your team members have the tools they need to perform their job
Provide training for the technicians that can’t perform their job duties as expected
Follow through with training, assistance, discipline and recognition for your team members
Reward and recognize the team members that excel
Pass down comprehensive status of all ongoing projects, special tasks and any important information to the incoming shift
Partner with VLT Operations and other departments in providing friendly, helpful and efficient responses to any issues
Partner with VLT Operations to address any guests’ service needs
Keep updated on current events in and around the region and ensure that the technicians are aware of the events at their property
Be involved with projects and meetings that may occur outside of your normal shift
Be prepared to perform any and all functions of projects
Ensure that all daily reports are run and problems investigated
Review the upcoming schedule and make sure that your team members are aware of any schedule changes immediately
Be prepared to work before/past the time of your normal shift and flexible in taking days off. Your shift must be covered at all times
Ensure that the down game board is accurate
Ensure that the tech shop is clean before you leave your shift
Walk the floor every day during your shift to locate any missing chairs, broken chair brackets, broken glass, bulbs out, games down and any other repairs that are needed
Complete any other duties assigned during your shift
Have a passion to learn and teach
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Electronics repair and troubleshooting background
Be able to read/explain the pay for the different EGD platforms
Be able to perform all game recalls
Be able to troubleshoot and repair common/uncommon problems with EGDs
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with VLT player tracking systems
Education and Experience
Electronics degree preferred
High School diploma/GED required
2 years’ experience as a VLT technician
Required Certification/License
Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license
