AMR Retail Visual Merchandiser

Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)
Job Type: 12-Month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $60-$62.00/hour (depending on experience)

Russell Tobin is supporting a leading global technology company in hiring an AMR Retail Visual Merchandiser. This role is ideal for a visual merchandising, retail design, or retail operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating exceptional customer experiences through thoughtful merchandising strategy and execution.

About the Role

The AMR Retail Visual Merchandiser will help shape how customers experience products, accessories, and services across a premium retail store network throughout the Americas region. You will be responsible for planning and executing visual merchandising initiatives, developing store layouts and planograms, supporting product launches, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across retail locations.

This position blends visual merchandising, retail planning, project coordination, and operational execution, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong retail and design background who enjoys both strategic thinking and detailed implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and publish store layouts and detailed product planograms for product launches and merchandising resets.

  • Partner with global and regional merchandising teams to ensure alignment across visual merchandising strategies.

  • Localize global merchandising initiatives for the Americas region while maintaining brand consistency.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience through field feedback, store observations, and space/performance analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including retail operations, fulfillment, marketing, and creative partners to support product launches and merchandising initiatives.

  • Forecast and communicate demo product and visual display element requirements for merchandising changes.

  • Develop and review merchandising setup guides, store communications, labor estimates, merchandising standards, and execution documentation.

  • Ensure merchandising projects are delivered accurately and on schedule across multiple retail locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in visual merchandising, retail merchandising, retail design, store planning, or retail operations.

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

  • Strong planning and time management abilities with a proactive, execution-focused mindset.

  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and building relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic objectives with detailed operational execution.

  • Passion for creating compelling customer experiences within a retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and creative or technical teams.

  • Project management or process improvement experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience working in a large-scale retail, consumer technology, or premium retail environment.
