Description

SAIC is seeking a Visual Communications Specialist to join our team at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.

The Visual Communications Specialist provides graphics, visual communications, and information-product support to Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS), its headquarters staff, and subordinate product offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, edit, and maintain Microsoft PowerPoint briefings, executive read-aheads, placemats, decision-support graphics, information papers, talking-point packages, and other visual communication products.
  • Translate complex programmatic, acquisition, engineering, production, budget, schedule, risk, readiness, and capability information into clear visual narratives.
  • Recommend message hierarchy, product length, visual layout, level of detail, timing, and presentation approach based on the intended audience.
  • Screen draft products for clarity, consistency, professional appearance, and alignment with approved PM MAS messaging before Government review.
  • Design display boards, posters, banners, tabletop displays, handouts, digital displays, signage, product cards, and other engagement materials.
  • Create production-ready artwork, layouts, templates, and specifications for printing, fabrication, mounting, engraving, and other display-production requirements.
  • Support the design, setup, refresh, teardown, inventory, and sustainment of PM MAS booth displays, exhibits, and engagement materials.
  • Coordinate visual-support requirements for senior-leader visits, conferences, ceremonies, demonstrations, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Establish and maintain PM MAS visual-communications standards, including approved templates, slide masters, fonts, color palettes, graphics, charts, imagery, layout conventions, and quality-control checklists.
  • Assist PM MAS headquarters and product offices in standardizing content, language, terminology, visual style, and presentation practices.
  • Develop and maintain a visual-product guide, graphics library, and reusable template suite for recurring and high-visibility PM MAS products.
  • Coordinate with subject-matter experts, program managers, engineers, analysts, item managers, operations personnel, business-management personnel, and public-affairs staff to ensure products accurately reflect approved information and leadership intent.
  • Establish and maintain an organized, searchable repository of current and legacy briefings, templates, source files, exhibit graphics, photographs, production specifications, and other visual products.
  • Apply version control, naming conventions, metadata, retention procedures, and access controls consistent with applicable Government policies.
  • Preserve approved historical products and source materials to enable PM MAS to reference, update, reproduce, or recreate prior products efficiently.
  • Research and apply applicable Army and DoW guidance governing visual information, public release, visual-media products, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), records management, distribution statements, and classified information handling.

Identify potential handling, marking, distribution, releasability, public-affairs, or security-review issues and coordinate with the appropriate Government authorities for determination.

  • Prepare products using only Government-approved content, markings, and handling instructions.
  • Handle classified information only as authorized by applicable security requirements and Government direction.
  • The incumbent will not independently classify information, determine releasability, approve distribution statements, or authorize public release.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one (1) year of related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience developing professional Microsoft PowerPoint briefings, executive-level presentation products, graphics, display boards, and print-ready materials.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Bridge CC, Adobe Premiere CC, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere filters, Editors Toolkit, Glowforge Laser Engraver User Interface, HP Large Format Scanner software, HP Large Format Plotter software, InfoPath, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Visio Professional, and Microsoft Word.

Experience designing or producing engravings, plaques, signage, large-format graphics, and other physical display materials.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Army, DoW, joint, acquisition, program-management, engineering, logistics, or ammunition-related organizations.
  • Experience supporting senior-leader engagements, conferences, trade shows, exhibits, ceremonies, or demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with CUI, distribution statements, records management, visual-information processes, and public-release coordination.

Clearance:
