My AmeriCorps - Home Page VISTA Program Coordinator

Piece by Piece is a Los Angeles nonprofit offering free mosaic art workshops to residents of South LA, Skid Row, and other neighborhoods affected by homelessness, trauma, or economic insecurity. Workshops promote healing, build skills, and generate income. As the VISTA Program Coordinator, you will build on the classroom, attendance, certification, and peer mentorship systems developed in Year Two. You will gather feedback from instructors, staff, and participants, then update classroom workflows, expand attendance and certification tracking, and launch the peer mentorship program by onboarding and matching trained mentors with new participants. You will finish by documenting every system in clear guides and training staff to maintain them. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, an interest in classroom or program operations, and comfort building simple tools, checklists, and training materials. This is a capacity building role. Rather than running these programs indefinitely, you will refine and scale systems that Piece by Piece staff can operate on their own after your term ends. You will gain experience in program design and nonprofit operations, along with training and professional development offered through AmeriCorps VISTA. This assignment begins October 19, 2026 and runs a full year of service in Los Angeles, California. To learn more, contact us using the information listed on this posting.
