VISTA Grant Researcher, Writer and Development Coordinator
Strengthen the City of Poplarville''s organizational and community capacity to address poverty, increase economic stability, and improve access to resources for underserved residents by establishing sustainable grant development, volunteer engagement, partnership, and outreach systems. Member Duties : The VISTA member will strengthen the City of Poplarville's ability to secure resources that address poverty and improve economic opportunity. Responsibilities include researching federal, state, and private grants; identifying funding opportunities; assisting with grant preparation; developing grant-tracking systems; and organizing supporting documentation. The member will collaborate with City staff and community partners to identify funding needs related to workforce development, housing stability, food security, and community wellness. The member will also create sustainable procedures and resources that City staff can continue using after the VISTA service year.
