Conduct a volunteer capacity assessment Design and administer a volunteer capacity assessment tool. Research evidence-based volunteer recruitment and coordination practices Identify volunteer pools - parents, retirees, college students, and civic organizations Produce a written volunteer recruitment plan and present it to the Project Director Develop volunteer onboarding materials and training curricula Coordinate with University of Illinois Extension and Shawnee Community College staff to incorporate relevant training content. Recruit and train volunteers to staff programming Deliver training sessions covering program expectations, safety protocols, and youth engagement best practices. Produce a written volunteer training manual Research volunteer tracking tools appropriate for small rural schools and nonprofit partners Draft volunteer recognition and retention strategies and a written sustainability plan for partner staff.
