We are seeking primarily industry professionals to teach and share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields.

Required Qualifications: To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty effectively. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to teach and support learners in engineering technology and applied technical systems. A doctorate in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Applied Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a closely related field is required, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in engineering technology, applied engineering, systems engineering, electronics, manufacturing technology, or related technical disciplines.

Degrees must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation.
Three to five years of applied professional experience in engineering technology, technical systems implementation, manufacturing environments, industrial systems, or applied engineering roles.
Demonstrated experience with applied engineering technologies and technical systems, including the use of modern tools, instrumentation, automation systems, or engineering technologies used in industry environments.
Industry-recognized certifications or professional credentials relevant to engineering technology, industrial systems, automation, or applied technical disciplines.
Strong subject matter expertise in applied engineering principles and technical problem-solving, combined with effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse learners.
Knowledge of engineering standards, safety practices, and quality assurance processes within technical and industrial environments.
Faculty must demonstrate excellent motivational and instructional skills in a non-traditional learning environment.
The candidate must work collaboratively and effectively facilitate the efforts of groups with varied backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
Pay: Visiting Professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. In addition, DeVry University does not guarantee any specific number of work hours or assignments, which may vary based on the University's needs and discretion.
