About Us
Resolute Civic Action is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit on a mission to empower people across America to participate in democracy and learn about important issues facing our country. Our innovative digital experiences sidestep divisive rhetoric and remove the friction from civic engagement - making it faster, easier, and more accessible than ever to participate in meaningful, real-world action to make our communities better.
Our current project is a national, digital-first communications effort - short-form video and social media storytelling, photo essays, and a narrative podcast - capturing this essential truth: the fundamental goodness and kindness of the American people and the diverse wonders of our country shine brightly when not obscured by politics and algorithms. Our goal is to give a megaphone to unique people in several states who make America's places and traditions worth celebrating.
We're funded for a six-month campaign at minimum and our content has already been seen by more than a million people. We're looking for a talented editor who hasn't gotten their shot yet on the big stage. If you've been doing strong work without the recognition or the platform to match, this is a chance to break through on a high-visibility, well-funded national campaign. We care more about what your work shows than about the names on your résumé.
About the Role
We're looking for a contract video editor to cut short-form social content, primarily 30-, 15-, and 6-second spots for Meta and TikTok campaigns, along with organic reels and vertical video. You'll work from documentary footage shot on location and turn it into tight, emotionally clear pieces that hold attention from the first second.
