Vice President Operations

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a growing financial services organization to identify a Vice President of Operations in North Dallas. This newly created executive leadership role is 100% onsite, with approximately 15% travel, and will oversee the organization’s Negotiations, Client Success, and Post-Settlement Services functions, representing approximately 60–75 employees across multiple leadership layers.

This position is ideal for a strategic yet hands-on operations leader who knows how to scale high-volume consumer financial services operations. The organization is focused on significant growth, and this individual will be responsible for creating the structure, accountability, performance measures, and leadership infrastructure necessary to support that next stage. A major focus will be developing and driving operating scorecards that measure settlement performance, client retention, post-settlement execution, compliance, efficiency, and people leadership.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including 3+ years leading multiple departments at the Director level or above
• Significant experience within debt settlement or a closely related regulated consumer financial services environment, such as consumer lending, credit counseling, debt collection, or mortgage/loan servicing
• Proven leadership of large, high-volume client service or contact-center operations with responsibility for managers, frontline teams, and organizational performance
• Strong operational analytics experience, including developing scorecards, KPIs, forecasting models, staffing plans, budgets, and performance accountability measures
• Demonstrated ability to scale operations, improve processes, develop leaders, and drive measurable results across client retention, service, compliance, and operational efficiency

Preferred:

• Direct debt settlement industry experience with established knowledge of creditors, debt buyers, collection agencies, and the overall settlement lifecycle
• Experience overseeing Negotiations, Client Success/Customer Service, Post-Settlement Services, or similarly interconnected operational functions
• Working knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding debt relief and consumer financial services
• Experience implementing or significantly improving CRM, dialer, workflow automation, workforce management, or operational reporting platforms
• Experience building and developing Director- and Manager-level leadership teams within a rapidly growing organization
