About The Role
The Vice President will lead our client's sales organization, partnering with the President to meet revenue, margin, and profitability goals. This role focuses on strategic sales leadership and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and cultivate a high-performing sales culture focused on excellence and collaboration.
- Coach and develop sales leaders and teams to enhance selling skills and customer relationships.
- Set performance expectations and accountability standards across sales roles.
- Partner with HR on talent strategy and leadership development.
- Deliver strategic direction to Regional Sales Leaders to achieve growth and revenue targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute market-specific sales plans.
- Oversee pricing strategies and rebate programs to balance growth and margin targets.
- Partner with Marketing to create sales promotions and go-to-market initiatives.
- Align sales commitments with delivery capabilities and service standards.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in building products distribution.
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record leading a national or multi-regional sales organization.
- Strong ability to develop and inspire high-performing sales teams.
- Experience creating KPI frameworks and using data to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Solid business and financial acumen, including forecasting and pricing strategy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment
- Remote position with willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Candidates should be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, major metropolitan areas in the Central or Eastern Time Zones (e.g., Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Charlotte, Indianapolis, or similar markets).
