Vice President, IT - Global Real Estate Firm in South FL 

Our client, an established, privately held real estate investment and development organization, is seeking a VP of IT to lead technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation across its commercial and multifamily real estate portfolio.

This is a newly created senior leadership opportunity for an experienced technology executive to build a strong local IT presence, partner with executive leadership and corporate technology teams, and ensure technology solutions support business performance, operational efficiency, and an exceptional tenant and resident experience.

Responsibilities:

• IT Strategy & Leadership: Lead the local technology function, align IT initiatives with business objectives, partner with executive leadership, and oversee multimillion-dollar technology budgets.

• Cybersecurity & Governance: Establish and enforce IT policies, security controls, data privacy standards, vendor risk management processes, and compliance frameworks.

• Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee network infrastructure, service desk operations, IT security systems, hardware procurement, and technology deployments across the portfolio.

• Digital Transformation: Lead complex system migrations, optimize ERP and business applications, and introduce modern SaaS, automation, AI, and self-service analytics solutions.

• Real Estate Technology: Oversee property technology platforms, smart building systems, access control, video surveillance, visitor management, and other technologies supporting building operations.

• Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery, ransomware response, and business continuity plans to protect critical systems and operations.

• Stakeholder & Change Management: Partner with business leaders to improve workflows across asset management, leasing, building operations, and finance while ensuring successful technology adoption through communication and training.

• Strategic Innovation: Establish a technology steering committee to evaluate emerging solutions, improve operational effectiveness, and support portfolio-wide performance.

Requirements: 

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management.

• Proven experience managing significant technology budgets, enterprise systems, and complex technology initiatives.

• Experience in commercial real estate, multifamily, property management, or related industries preferred.

• Familiarity with real estate technology platforms such as Yardi, MRI, RealPage, ARGUS, CoStar, and Salesforce.

• Experience leading ERP migrations, enterprise application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, IT governance, vendor risk management, data privacy, and business continuity.

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud security, and modern data environments preferred.

• Experience with smart building technologies, IoT integrations, access control, and video surveillance systems.

• Demonstrated ability to lead within a matrixed organization, influence senior stakeholders, and balance local business priorities with enterprise technology standards.

• Strong communication, strategic planning, and change management skills.
