    Executive Summary

    The Vice President, Global Total Rewards is a strategic HR executive responsible for designing, leading, and advancing Tyler Technologies' comprehensive total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, wellbeing, recognition, and executive pay programs. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this role serves as a key member of the HR Leadership Team and a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board Compensation Committee on matters related to talent investment, rewards governance, workforce competitiveness, and shareholder alignment.

    The Vice President will lead the development of innovative, market-competitive, and fiscally responsible rewards programs that enable Tyler Technologies to attract, retain, engage, and motivate a high-performing workforce. This executive will oversee all aspects of broad-based compensation, executive compensation, incentive plans, benefits, and rewards analytics while ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company's growth strategy and culture.

    Leading the Senior Director, Compensation and the Senior Director, Benefits, the Vice President will build organizational capability within the Total Rewards function and drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer service. The role requires a proven enterprise leader with deep expertise in compensation and benefits, strong business and financial acumen, board-level credibility, and the ability to translate complex rewards strategies into measurable business outcomes.

    Success in this position will be defined by the ability to align total rewards investments with Tyler's business objectives, strengthen talent attraction and retention, maintain executive compensation governance, and position Total Rewards as a strategic driver of organizational performance and employee experience.

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and execute Tyler's Global Total Rewards strategy.
    • Align rewards programs with business objectives, talent priorities, and shareholder interests.
    • Establish Total Rewards as a strategic business enabler.

    Executive Compensation

    • Lead executive compensation strategy and governance.
    • Oversee annual and long-term incentive plans.
    • Support Compensation Committee and Board discussions.

    Compensation Strategy

    • Direct broad-based compensation philosophy, global pay structures, and market competitiveness.
    • Lead merit, bonus, and incentive planning processes in each country where Tyler operates.

    Benefits & Wellbeing

    • Establish competitive and financially sustainable benefits strategies.
    • Oversee healthcare, retirement, wellbeing, and leave programs.
    • Manage vendor relationships and program effectiveness.

    Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
    • Maintain strong governance and internal controls.
    • Manage executive compensation disclosures and related reporting.

    Analytics & Workforce Insights

    • Utilize workforce and market analytics to drive decision making.
    • Develop executive dashboards and reporting.
    • Measure return on rewards investments.

    Organizational Leadership

    • Lead and develop the Total Rewards organization.
    • Coach and develop the Senior Director, Compensation and Senior Director, Benefits.
    • Strengthen culture and enable a high-functioning team.

    Key Qualifications

    Leadership Experience

    • 15+ years of progressive Total Rewards leadership experience.
    • Experience leading enterprise compensation and benefits functions for one or more organizations with rewards in 5 or more countries.
    • Proven success building and leading high-performing teams.

    Technical Expertise

    Deep expertise in:

    • Executive compensation in one or more public corporations, preferably S&P 500
    • Broad-based compensation
    • Incentive design
    • Sales compensation design
    • Global benefits strategy and vendor/partner management
    • Global governance and compliance
    • Global and US pay equity and transparency

    Board & Public Company Experience

    • Experience supporting Compensation Committees and Boards of Directors.
    • Executive compensation governance expertise.
    • Familiarity with proxy disclosures and shareholder considerations.

    Business Acumen

    • Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
    • Ability to connect talent investments to business performance.
    • Experience managing significant compensation and benefits budgets.
    • Demonstrated ability to build data-driven business cases or investment and deliver ROI.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in business or finance preferred.
    • CCP, CBP, or related certifications preferred.

    Work Location/Arrangement

    • Preferred locations (in order of preference): Plano TX, Yarmouth ME, Herndon VA, Overland Park, KS, Troy, MI
    • Work arrangement: In Office
