    Job Overview

    A leading venture capital firm is seeking a Vice President of Capital Formation to support the firm's fundraising and investor relations efforts. This individual will work closely with senior partners and play a critical role in managing investor communications, due diligence processes, and fundraising operations.

    This is an ideal opportunity for a professional who enjoys building relationships with investors and coordinating fundraising initiatives but is not looking for a traditional "hunter" capital raising role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support senior partners throughout the fundraising process
    • Manage and maintain the firm's investor pipeline and CRM system
    • Coordinate investor due diligence requests and data room activity
    • Assist in preparing fundraising materials, presentations, and investor communications
    • Participate in introductory meetings and calls with prospective investors
    • Track investor engagement, commitments, and fundraising progress
    • Coordinate follow-up communications and investor reporting activities
    • Work closely with the investment team to gather information required for diligence processes
    • Assist with investor onboarding and subscription documentation
    • Help identify potential investor prospects across family offices, RIAs, foundations, endowments, and institutional allocators

    Qualifications

    • 5-10 years of experience in investor relations, capital formation, fundraising, private wealth, or client service within venture capital, private equity, growth equity, or alternative investments
    • Strong understanding of private fund structures and fundraising processes
    • Experience managing investor due diligence requests and fundraising workflows
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
    • Ability to interact confidently with sophisticated investors and senior executives
    • Proficiency with CRM systems and investor reporting platforms
    • Bachelor's degree required

    Preferred Experience

    • Previous experience within venture capital, growth equity, or technology-focused investment firms
    • Exposure to family offices, RIAs, endowments, foundations, and institutional investors
    • Familiarity with subscription processes and investor onboarding
    • Experience supporting multiple fundraises or successful fund launches
