Are you an experienced HR leader who loves the people and culture side of HR just as much as the strategy? This is an opportunity to step into a VP-level role with an established HR team, a supportive executive group, and an organization that truly values what HR brings to the table. Our client is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources to lead the people function for a mission-driven, multi-location organization.

    • Set the overall people strategy and ensure HR initiatives support broader organizational goals.
    • Lead, coach and develop an established HR leadership team.
    • Continue evolving the organization's approach to culture, engagement and retention, particularly across a geographically dispersed workforce.
    • Help managers become stronger people leaders by giving them the tools, coaching and accountability needed to build engaged teams.
    • Oversee the full HR function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, HR technology, learning and development, and internal employee communications.
    • Strengthen leadership development and succession planning across the organization.
    • Evaluate existing HR programs and identify opportunities to improve consistency, effectiveness and employee experience.
    • Partner with leadership on organizational change and future growth initiatives.
    • Maintain strong employment practices and compliance across multiple states.
    • Support labor relations for a smaller unionized employee population in Vermont.

    • Strong background in culture, employee engagement and leadership development
    • Ability to operate strategically while remaining connected to employees and day-to-day organizational needs
