Vice President, Health Economics and Market Access
Location: St. Louis Park, MN (Hybrid or Remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Health Economics and Market Access to develop and direct methods and strategy for effective healthcare economics and market access to support commercial growth.
Responsibilities:
Establish and foster relationships with key medical societies, payors, hospital administrators and other thought leaders/key customers to positively position Gastric Electrical Stimulation (GES) both for current indication and future expansion areas.
Develop and maintain reimbursement resources for clinicians and the Enterra field team, including coding guides, economic models, and patient access resources.
Partner closely with sales leadership to ensure accurate coding education and claim processing with new and active accounts.
Assist with supporting and building Enterra Medical's strategic vision and new commercial business opportunities that lead to a solid strategic value proposition, future indications, and pipeline technologies.
Work as part of a cross-functional team (Marketing, Finance, Sales, International) to develop the economic value proposition for GES, addressing the specific concerns of payors, providers, hospitals and patients.
Inclusion of economic data collection in clinical trials or potential registry
Cost effectiveness modeling, especially vs. alternatives and the high baseline cost of gastroparesis patients.
Partner with new product development team (e.g., R&D, clinical studies, etc.) to ensure healthcare economics is part of each phase of product development. This would include economic assessments for new products and market opportunities in target geographies, both US and OUS.
Lead the Field Reimbursement team, Patient Access program (via third party partner), and external expert consultants as needed.
Monitor the payor landscape and lead advocacy initiatives, including working to engage clinicians and Medical Directors at targeted payors for favorable coverage opportunities.
Assist with implementing key reimbursement tactics including the following:
CPT Editorial Panel and RUC committee work activities when applicable.
Assist with developing and implementing medical society support activities when/where applicable.
Some level of field tactical support (e.g., helping diagnose reimbursement issues with accounts)
Maintain a deep expertise of macro/micro healthcare clinical and economic issues impacting the business, with a relentless focus on market implications to current and future GES technologies.
Monitor competitive technologies and their coding strategies - and how those may impact GES.
Communicate with VP of U.S. Sales, VP of Marketing, OUS Commercial Leader, and Sales personnel on specific issues and key field initiatives.
Participate in professional organizations, congresses, conferences and seminars in order to keep up with the best practices in industry where applicable.
Support the Enterra Medical Quality Policy and Quality System.
