Position SummaryThe Vice President, B2B Marketing Practice is a key leader in advancing and growing the ANA’s year-round B2B strategy. Working closely with the Senior Vice President and the broader B2B team, this role helps deliver impactful programs, events, thought leadership, and member experiences that drive value for ANA members.
The VP will lead the planning and execution of a robust portfolio of B2B initiatives, including Members-Only Conferences, the Masters of B2B Marketing Conference, executive working sessions, Masters Academies, and other signature experiences. Success in this role requires the ability to operate strategically and tactically, partnering with senior marketing leaders to shape compelling agendas while overseeing the details needed to deliver exceptional programs and events.
Beyond event leadership, the VP will play an important role in helping to transform insights from members, conferences, research, and partner collaborations into practical, actionable resources. These may include frameworks, playbooks, tools, case studies, and other content extensions that expand the reach, relevance, and value of the ANA’s B2B Marketing Practice.
ResponsibilitiesEvent and Program Management- Lead the planning and execution of key B2B events and member experiences, including members-only conferences, Masters Academies, executive roundtables, working sessions, committee meetings, and other programs.
- Own assigned events end-to-end, coordinating agendas, venues, speakers, partners, run-of-show, timing, attendee experience, internal stakeholders, logistics teams, and post-event follow-through.
- Serve as a senior B2B Practice lead on-site at events, anticipating issues, managing changes in real time, and ensuring programs are executed at a consistently high level.
- Partner with the SVP and Senior Manager to distribute responsibility across the B2B event portfolio, providing leadership capacity and operational support across simultaneous programs.
- Work closely with ANA conference, logistics, marketing, membership, and other internal teams to ensure B2B programs are delivered efficiently and support broader Practice objectives.
Content and Product Development- Lead the development of content associated with committees, members-only conferences, Academies, the B2B Leadership Council, and other working sessions, helping define the business question, program structure, desired member outcome, and follow-through.
- Translate insights generated through executive member discussions, events, research, and partner collaboration into reusable B2B products and intellectual capital, including playbooks, frameworks, toolkits, case-study summaries, executive briefs, diagnostics, and practical member guidance.
- Identify opportunities to extend successful programs beyond a single event through webinars, workshops, digital content, conference sessions, educational programs, and other ANA platforms.
- Work with subject-matter experts, partners, members, and ANA colleagues to develop new B2B offerings and help move promising concepts from idea to scalable program or product.
Committee Leadership- Partner with the Senior Manager to establish annual goals, strategic mandates, programming priorities, and measures of success for the B2B committee portfolio.
- Provide strategic oversight and coaching to ensure committees move beyond meeting calendars to become active practitioner communities that identify emerging issues, develop practical guidance, and contribute to the broader B2B agenda.
- Help connect committee work to Leadership Council priorities, thought leadership, events, education, and other B2B programs.
- Review committee performance and help identify opportunities to strengthen programming, participation, chair leadership, and member value.
Executive Engagement- Partner with the SVP in developing and executing the ANA B2B Leadership Council, including meeting agendas, member engagement, executive communications, working sessions, and follow-through.
- Help translate Leadership Council priorities into research, committee agendas, educational programs, MOCs, conference programming, and practical member resources.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior executives from ANA member companies and help identify opportunities to deepen their participation across the B2B Practice.
- Ensure Council meetings and executive sessions are highly organized, substantive, and designed to produce clear outcomes rather than simply facilitate discussion.
Strategic Program Development- Work with the SVP to operationalize the B2B Practice’s strategic priorities, particularly initiatives related to Enterprise Growth Marketing, executive engagement, thought leadership, member growth, and capability development.
- Help connect individual programs into a cohesive year-round member journey rather than operating conferences, committees, research, and education as stand-alone activities.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration across ANA practices and work with internal teams to develop programs that extend B2B intellectual property and member value.
- Support the development of new offerings that deepen engagement with priority industries, markets, and member companies.
Operational Excellence and Team Leadership- Manage multiple complex programs simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring deadlines, commitments, and member expectations are met.
- Anticipate execution risks and resolve issues before they affect members, partners, speakers, or program quality.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to team members and help create efficient ways of working across the B2B Practice.
- Represent the B2B Practice internally and externally with senior members, partners, speakers, and ANA leadership.

- An experienced manager of conferences, executive events, or complex member/client programs.
- Comfortable owning an event from initial concept through on-site execution and post-event follow-through.
- A strong content thinker who can turn conversations and ideas into clear frameworks, programs, and useful member resources.
- Skilled at managing senior executives, speakers, partners, and multiple internal stakeholders.
- Able to prioritize and make sound decisions when several programs are moving simultaneously.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong in written and verbal executive communication.
- Pragmatic and hands-on, with a strong sense of personal ownership and follow-through.
Qualifications/Experience Required- Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience in B2B marketing, marketing strategy, professional associations, executive education, conferences, content development, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of contemporary B2B marketing issues and the evolving role of marketing in driving business growth.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex events or programs from planning through execution.
- Experience working directly with senior marketing executives and external partners.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with a record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience developing thought leadership, educational programming, frameworks, tools, or other content-based offerings.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members and working across functions.
Salary and Total Rewards PackageStarting pay range: $140,000 to $150,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
