About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Field Engineer to independently deliver high-quality commercial security system installations, troubleshooting, service work, and field support. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in clean workmanship, strong troubleshooting, and getting the job done right the first time.

The Service Field Engineer will install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, commission, and support integrated security systems while helping maintain project quality, jobsite efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position also serves as a technical resource in the field, providing guidance to other team members and helping ensure work meets company standards, drawings, specifications, and code requirements.

What You'll Do

• Perform skilled installation, service, and troubleshooting of commercial security systems in accordance with company standards, drawings, and specifications.
• Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling with clean workmanship and proper cable management.
• Install and commission access control hardware, door components, IP cameras, camera infrastructure, intercoms, and other specialty security devices.
• Support high-level field work, including panel terminations, programming support, troubleshooting, code compliance, and subcontractor work validation.
• Verify system functionality and resolve installation- or service-related issues with minimal supervision.
• Ensure completed work is neat, labeled, aligned, sealed, tested, and fully operational before inspection or turnover.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, time entries, and job progress.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and site-specific requirements.
• Provide on-the-job support and guidance to other technicians when needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of field experience in commercial security, low-voltage, access control, CCTV, or integrated security systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and service background.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, and integrated security systems.
• Working knowledge of BICSI and EIA/TIA standards, conduit work, electrical troubleshooting, continuity testing, and voltmeter use.
• Ability to read drawings, follow specifications, and complete work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and/or control up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• The target compensation range for this role is $30–$37/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
