What You’ll Do
- Provide hands-on assistance during procedures—from general patient care and diagnostic workups to advanced interventions—under the guidance of senior technicians and specialists.
- Manage a range of technical tasks, such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and patient record-keeping.
- Maintain a high level of organization, ensuring the department is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is ready for immediate use.
- Monitor and care for non-critical and recovering patients
- Administer medications and treatments (IV, IM, SQ, PO)
- Prepare and manage patient recovery from anesthesia
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, clinicians, and support teams
- Maintain accurate records, follow treatment plans, and assist with patient discharge
- Demonstrate sound medical knowledge and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Apply Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to keep patients safe and calm
What You Bring
- 1–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician/Nurse
- CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred or educational equivalent
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a high-volume setting
- Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, terminology, and disease processes
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- A calm, focused demeanor and a commitment to learning and growth
