Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our compassionate veterinary team. We are a privately owned small animal specialty (canine/feline) clinic that just opened April 2026. We are a fully equipped hospital with oxygen chamber, high flow oxygen therapy, full surgical suite/monitors, endoscopy, with ultrasound and ECHO capabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic animal healthcare environment with specialists, providing essential support in patient care, clinic operations, and animal management. The ideal candidate will have prior veterinary clinic experience, animal handling skills, and a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures. This position is vital for ensuring high-quality pet care and supporting veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities (will vary depending on skills)
  • Perform animal husbandry tasks including feeding, bathing, and general care for hospitalized animals
  • Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff
  • Administer medications accurately following veterinary instructions
  • Monitor animal vital signs and observe for any signs of distress or illness
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Support emergency critical care procedures as needed including animal catheterization (peripheral and central line), naso-gastric tube placement/maintenance and maintaining chest and abdominal drains
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment using aseptic techniques
  • Support laboratory procedures such as sample collection, processing, and basic testing
  • Assist with client communications during intake, hospitalization and discharging from the hospital
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with compassion and attention to detail
Qualifications
  • 18+ years of age
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience
  • LVT and ER/specialty experience is preferred
  • Be able to lift 40lbs
  • Background check required
