About the Role:
Parker Veterinary Hospital PC is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Oxford, MI! This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners in a supportive, fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
  • Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Monitor and care for patients pre- and post-operatively, including anesthesia monitoring
  • Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) following proper safety protocols
  • Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
Requirements:
  • Veterinary Technician certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred or equivalent clinical experience
  • Experience with small animal handling, restraint, and patient care
  • Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice management software
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused demeanor
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, high-energy environment
  • Physical ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes
