    Relief Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT)

    Relief/Locum Position | Flexible, As-Needed Schedule

    We are seeking an experienced, credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our team on a relief/locum basis. This position is ideal for a skilled technician looking for flexible, as-needed work while providing exceptional patient care and client service.

    Position Overview

    As a relief technician, hours are not guaranteed and will fluctuate based on the hospital's staffing needs, including employee vacations, illnesses, and other absences. Shifts may become available with little notice due to unexpected call-outs.

    While we appreciate flexibility and availability, relief technicians are not obligated to accept last-minute shift requests.

    Once a scheduled shift has been accepted and posted, the relief technician is responsible for finding appropriate coverage if they are no longer able to work that shift.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Venipuncture
    • IV catheter placement
    • Digital radiology
    • Anesthesia monitoring
    • Physical examinations and patient assessment
    • Surgical preparation and assistance
    • Dentistry
    • Laboratory procedures
    • Pharmacy duties
    • Patient recovery
    • Compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients

    Schedule Expectations

    This is a relief/as-needed position.

    Candidates must:

    • Hold a current Veterinary Technician credential (CVT, LVT, or RVT, as applicable).
    • Be available to work a flexible schedule based on hospital needs.
    • Be willing to work evenings and occasional Saturdays.
    • Be reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working with varying schedules.
    • Understand that hours will vary and are dependent upon staffing needs.
