Airline Animal Health & Surgery Center | Bossier City, LA

Full-Time or Part-Time | Four 10-Hour Shifts Available

Airline Animal Health & Surgery Center is seeking an experienced veterinary professional to join our three-doctor small animal practice in Bossier City, Louisiana. We provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for dogs and cats and are looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and ready to contribute to a busy hospital environment.

Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply, and experienced non-credentialed veterinary professionals with strong hands-on clinical skills will also be considered.

What You'll Do

As part of our veterinary technician team, you'll work closely with our doctors and support staff throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• Obtain patient histories and vital signs
• Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats
• Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory samples
• Run in-house laboratory diagnostics
• Take and process digital radiographs
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with patient recovery
• Assist with dental procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments
• Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Educate clients on medications, treatments, and preventive care
• Maintain clean, organized treatment and patient-care areas
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain efficient hospital flow

What We're Looking For

• Previous hands-on veterinary clinical experience preferred
• Credentialed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply
• Experienced non-credentialed veterinary professionals will also be considered
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• Comfortable working in a busy small animal hospital
• Experience with surgery, anesthesia, radiology, or laboratory diagnostics is a plus
• Dependable, punctual, and organized
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Compassionate approach to patient care
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to jump in where needed

Schedule

• Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities available
• Four 10-hour shifts available for full-time team members
• Rotating Saturdays required (usually one Saturday per month)
• Hospital open six days per week
