    Veterinary Technician Assistant

    Join Our Veterinary Team!

    We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our privately owned small animal veterinary practices in Queenstown, MD and Annapolis, MD. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented individual who enjoys working with animals and providing excellent patient care.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • At least 1 year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
    • Comfortable handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately
    • Reliable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
    • Willing to learn and take direction from veterinarians and veterinary technicians
    • Professional, positive attitude with excellent client and patient service skills

    Responsibilities

    • Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with appointments and procedures
    • Safely restrain and handle patients
    • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
    • Assist with patient intake and discharge
    • Obtain and record patient weights and basic history information
    • Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, and equipment
    • Assist with laboratory samples and basic in-house diagnostics
    • Provide general patient care, including monitoring hospitalized patients
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
    • Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners
