Full-Time opportunity in San Marcos, California
Why Join Veterinary Specialty Hospital - North County
Veterinary Specialty Hospital - North County is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Radiologist to join our established Diagnostic Imaging team in San Marcos, California.
This is an opportunity to work alongside an experienced imaging team while becoming an integral part of a deeply multidisciplinary referral hospital. Diagnostic Imaging plays a central role in the clinical decision-making at VSH North County, partnering daily with Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Interventional Radiology.
VSH North County is also preparing to move into a new 35,000-square-foot hospital in early 2027, creating expanded clinical capacity and an opportunity for our imaging team to help shape how advanced diagnostic services support the hospital's next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
Our Diagnostic Imaging service provides imaging support across a diverse specialty referral environment, with access to a board-certified radiologist seven days per week. The service supports both diagnostic interpretation and collaborative case management, giving the incoming radiologist the opportunity to work directly with clinicians across multiple specialties.
The hospital offers MRI, CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, along with advanced imaging-guided procedures. These capabilities allow the imaging team to play an active role in complex diagnostics, procedural planning, minimally invasive interventions, and ongoing case management.
You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our Interventional Radiology team, which works closely with Radiology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine on minimally invasive procedures including vascular interventions, stenting, embolization, and image-guided procedures.
Location Highlight
San Marcos offers the best of Southern California living with easy access to North County San Diego's beaches, restaurants, outdoor recreation, and vibrant communities. From the coast to nearby hiking and mountain biking, you'll have abundant opportunities to enjoy an active lifestyle outside of work.
