The Role
- Serve as the clinical leader while maintaining an active caseload of appointments, dentistry, and surgery
- Establish and uphold medical standards, protocols, and best practices
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians through coaching, case collaboration, and feedback
- Foster a supportive, team-first culture across the hospital
- Partner with the Practice Manager on operations, workflow, scheduling, and strategic initiatives
- Help recruit, interview, and onboard veterinarians and support team members
- Drive continuous improvement in medical quality, client experience, and hospital performance
- Serve as the Responsible Veterinarian and maintain regulatory compliance
- Provide same-day urgent care during business hours; no routine weekends
Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent degree
- License to practice veterinary medicine in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- 3-5 years of small animal clinical experience preferred
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience advantageous
- Strong communication skills with a focus on client education and team collaboration
- Eligibility to work in the United States
