The Role
- Full-time Chief of Staff position combining leadership and clinical practice
- Approximately 20-30 percent leadership and 70-80 percent clinical duties, adjusted to hospital needs
- Lead medical quality, client service, and team engagement while fostering a positive culture
- Coach, mentor, schedule, and develop doctors and support staff; assist with hiring and onboarding
- Oversee workflow and productivity, including efficient appointment management and drop-off services
- Guide annual planning, budgeting, and key performance goals in partnership with hospital leadership
- Ensure compliance with medical record standards and all applicable laws and regulations
- Provide general practice care, including preventive medicine, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and internal medicine
- Communicate clearly with clients and the team; create tailored treatment plans and follow-up care
- Champion a safe, clean, and well-organized environment for patients, clients, and staff
Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Indiana (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration or eligibility preferred
- Proven clinical competence in general practice, surgery, and dentistry
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
