    Veterinary Medical Director (DVM) - Berkley, CA

    A veterinary hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead its clinical team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and practicing advanced medicine in a collaborative environment. This role combines hands-on clinical responsibilities with leadership duties, allowing you to shape medical standards, support team development, and drive overall hospital success.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Perform diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgical procedures
    • Establish and maintain medical protocols and standards of care
    • Mentor veterinarians and clinical staff to support professional growth
    • Ensure compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory requirements
    • Maintain accurate medical records and oversee quality of care
    • Build strong client relationships through communication and education
    • Support hospital performance, team engagement, and clinical outcomes
     

    Qualifications

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution
    • Active veterinary license in good standing (or eligibility)
    • 3–5+ years of clinical experience (leadership experience preferred)
    • Strong clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills
    • Proven leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
