What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in both patient care and clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing care such as medicating, grooming, and monitoring animal health
• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Safely restraining dogs and cats
• Keeping the clinic clean, organized, and fully sanitized
• Administering medications under veterinary guidance
• Observing animal behavior and reporting any changes
• Supporting emergency care when necessary
• Communicating with pet owners about care, treatments, and wellness
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records

You’ll work with a variety of animal temperaments, some may be anxious or in pain, so confidence, patience, and compassion are essential.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in veterinary or animal care (required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable handling and restraining animals
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
