    VCA Woodford Animal Hospital is adding a Veterinary Assistant to our Patient Care Team!

    Schedule: Full-time opportunity with rotating Saturdays. 

    Compensation: The starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

    The Opportunity

    As a Veterinary Assistant,you’llplayan important rolein supporting our doctors and technicians while helping create a positive experience for pets and their families. This isa great opportunityfor someone who loves animals, enjoys teamwork, and wants to grow in veterinary medicine.

    WhatYou’llDo

    • Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments 

    • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas 

    • Assistdoctors and technicians with appointments and procedures 

    • Collect patient histories and support client communication 

    • Feed, walk, andmonitorhospitalized pets 

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital 

    • Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs 

    • Assistwith laboratory samples and diagnostics 

    • Maintainaccuratemedical records 

    • Deliver compassionate care to patients and clients every day 

    WhatWe’reLooking For

    • Veterinary Assistant experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate 

    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn 

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
