About You:

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our ideal candidate is someone who feels the same.

The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, provide basic animal care, and feel comfortable with animal handling and restraint, basic surgery preparation, and assisting Veterinary Technicians in a clinical setting. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness throughout the medical facility and supporting the efficient operation of the veterinary practice. Experience with EzyVet is a plus but is not required.

Communication is key in our industry, and we are looking for people who navigate both client and interpersonal communication with skill and ease. We highly value collaboration from all staff members, so please speak up as your input is not only valued but can make a difference.

Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures
- Provide basic animal care such as feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness in the treatment and kennel areas
- Restrain animals for procedures when necessary
- Communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Keep accurate records of treatments and procedures
- Attend to the comfort and well-being of animals in the facility

Schedule:
This is a part-time position:
Thursday - 8am-6pm
Friday - 8am-6pm
Saturday - 8am-2pm

Compensation:
$17.25 an hour.

Requirements:

  • Must have prior experience working in a veterinary setting.
  • Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and patience when handling animals.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members.
  • Willingness to take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Punctuality and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of care.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a compassionate approach to client care.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on veterinary practices.
