Companion Animal Wellness Center in Poulsbo is looking for an experienced individual to fill a full time Veterinary Assistant position.
As a small clinic, all our staff are an important piece of the puzzle.
Duties of the Veterinary Assistant position include:
- Checking in, scribing, and facilitating appointments.
- Restraining patients.
- Taking dictation.
- Communicating with clients regarding care plans for patients.
- Filling prescription requests across various online platforms.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Setting up surgery.
- Coordinating with treatment and front staff to ensure a smooth flow.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to clients and patients.
Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 6 pm; no late nights or weekends. Job Type: Full-time (although part-time would also be considered if it fits the clinic's needs)
Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred).
- Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred).
Work Location: In person
