VCA Oshtemo Animal Hospital is expanding our Patient Care Team and seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative to join our team!

The Opportunity

This unique split-position is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on patient care and connecting with clients. You’ll have the opportunity to support our medical team as a Veterinary Assistant while also helping create a positive experience for pets and their families as a Client Service Representative.

What You’ll Do

• Safely handle and restrain pets for exams and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures
• Collect patient histories and assist with client communication
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized patients
• Assist with laboratory samples, diagnostics, and surgical preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
• Provide compassionate care to patients throughout their visit
• Welcome clients and their pets with a warm, friendly approach
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with client questions
• Check clients in and out and process payments
• Maintain accurate client and patient information
• Communicate with clients regarding appointments, services, and follow-up care
• Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every client
