Job Description:We are a PRIVATELY OWNED, 2 doctor practice in the Arlington neighborhood of Jacksonville. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our skilled vetmed team.
The ideal candidate needs to have at least 1 year of experience working in a Veterinary Clinic as a Kennel tech or Veterinary Assistant. Will consider candidates with basic kennel or Veterinary Assistant experience only. Our candidate should be a team player, have a positive attitude, and have excellent animal restraint skills. We offer health benefits and paid Continuing Education with full-time employment.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 yrs Veterinary Assistant or Kennel experience
- Highly organized and able to perform clerical duties
- Practical knowledge of hospital setup and medical terminology
- Physically able to assist in cleaning hospital and kennels
- Familiar with most Heartworm/Flea preventions/Vaccines
- Able to assist technicians and doctors with miscellaneous duties
- Restrain animals using low stress techniques
Schedule:- Full-Time: M-F 7:30am-6pm, Saturdays 9am-2pm (Part time negotiable)
